Ammonia (NH3) is a chemical compound of Nitrogen and Hydrogen. Ammonia boils at −33.34 °C. Therefore, liquid Ammonia must be stored under pressure or at low temperatures. It is a colorless gas with a characteristically overpowering smell. Because of its many uses, Ammonia is one of the most highly produced inorganic chemicals. It is used in both industrial and household applications. Household ammonia is comprised of a solution of Ammonia that has been diluted in Water; therefore, it will not boil at room temperatures. Ammonia is one of the main ingredients in many household cleaning products.
